Thank you for your interest in The Rosedale Day School. We are delighted that you are considering RDS for your child! Our admissions team is here to help guide you through our Admissions Process and provide you with the relevant information and opportunities to make an informed admission decision.
We recognize how important it is for families to have an opportunity to learn about our school and get a sense of all that is offered at RDS. Our downtown footprint is truly unique and allows us to offer wonderful enriching opportunities for all students in JK-Gr.8. We look forward to learning more about your child and seeing how RDS can inspire them to success.
Currently, there are no Open Houses scheduled. Information about our Fall 2020 Open House will be available in the summer.
Individual tours are available through online zoom calls. Connect with our admissions team to learn more about the RDS advantage.
Shortlisted applicants applying to JK, SK and Grade 1 will attend an Activity Morning to assess their readiness for learning, social interaction and development. We will observe children in small groups and individually as they move through a number of familiar activities involving numeracy and literacy skills, drawing and free play.
Shortlisted applicants applying to Grades 2 through 8 will have an opportunity to spend a day experiencing RDS. Students will attend classes with their current grade level, engage with their peers and the classroom teacher to gain a better understanding of the school’s culture and values. Informal assessments in reading, writing and math will take place during the day.
Our tuition fees are set each year by our Board of Directors. Fees for the 2020-2021 school year are set at $23,990 for all student in JK-Gr.8.
In addition to tuition all new students are required to pay a one-time new student registration fee of $4,000. This one-time, non-refundable new student registration fee is payable upon acceptance of an offer of admission.
♦Application for financial assistance is made to a third party assessor, Apple Financial Services, who makes a recommendation to the Rosedale Day School’s Financial Assistance Committee. The application for financial assistance is separate from the admissions application and must be completed on the Apple Financial Services website. A family’s application for financial assistance is reviewed and evaluated independently from the admission application.
♦Bursaries are granted on an annual basis; therefore an application must be submitted each year.
♦Financial assistance is awarded as a reduction of fees, not as cash.
