The U14 basketball team continues to roll, posting impressive victories over Voice and Willowwood.

On Monday, January 13th, the Gryphons travelled to UTS to take on the Blues. The Gryphons found themselves down early, and despite a 3rd quarter push, the team ran into foul trouble, falling 26-42 to the Blues.

Following their first loss of the season, the Gryphons leaned on their veteran players in Wednesday’s matchup vs. Voice. At the half, the Gryphons found themselves in tough, trailing 37-36. Throughout the second half, the Gryphons stuck to their game plan and managed to claw back, putting up a season-high 62 points on their way to their third victory of the season.

The Gritty Gryphons continued their winning streak on Friday when the team travelled to their third road game of the week to take on Willowwood. For the second game in a row, the Gryphons trailed by one point heading into halftime but remained confident and composed. The Gryphons 1-2 punch of Carter Drynan and Eshetu Harper finished with a massive, 46 points, as RDS earned back-to-back road wins improving to 4-1 on the season.

The Gryphons are next in action this afternoon as they travel to take on Hudson College on January 24th. Tip-off at 4pm. Come cheer on our Gryphons. Go, Gryphons!
